IMPORTANT: A court must be configured to allow Bulk Filing. Contact a Court Administrator if the court you're filing in is not appropriately configured.
To enhance efficiency for filers, a court may allow filers to submit multiple case initiation or multiple existing case filing bundles simultaneously. Filers that frequently submit documents to multiple cases of the same Case Type can leverage this feature - known as Bulk Filing.
If the court is appropriately configured, you can upload a "batch" (group) of filing bundles along with case data related to the bundles and submit it through a single submission to the Court. Once submitted, each bundle in the batch will be processed and reviewed individually.
To begin, as with other filing bundles, you'll specify the appropriate Court, Case Type, Submission Type, and Filer for the batch. See Specify the Court, Case Type, Submission Type, and Filer for details.
Note that a batch can contain only bundles related to a single submission type; that is, a batch can't contain a mix of case initiation and existing case bundles.
You'll next prepare the case data CSV file. For each filing bundle, the appropriate data must be entered in the CVS file. Information can include:
The Bulk Filing page contains a link through which you can download the unique template and, based on your selection of the Court, Case Type, and Submissions Type, populate the CSV file with the required data.
You can also download detailed instructions on how to populate the file.
Once the file is completed, you'll upload it.
Validation is performed, and any errors are returned. You must make any needed updates and then re-upload the file.
See Bulk Filing Case Data for details.
Next, you'll construct each filing bundle and its filing documents in a separate folder.
The structure (name and contents of each folder) must be mapped to the case data contained in the CSV file.
Once all the bundle folders are created, you must compress them into a zip file and upload that file.
Validation is performed on the uploaded bundles, and errors are returned. Based on court configuration, you may be required to correct any errors and resubmit the zip file, or you may be able to make the required updates from within the Batch Edit page.
See Bulk Filing Bundles for details.
If the number of validation errors exceeds the maximum allowed errors as configured by the Court, you must fix and re-upload the case data or the ZIP file.
See Correct CSV File and ZIP File Validation Errors for details.
As with traditional filing bundles, once the CSV file and bundles are successfully uploaded and validated, you'll submit the batch.
Once the batch is submitted, but prior to check out, validation is performed to ensure all bundles in the batch pass the Court's bundle validation rules. Reference Filing and Bundle Validation for examples of these rules.
