Payment Processors

A payment processor is a third-party organization that handles transactions for credit cards. Each court uses the payment processor of their choice.

When you add a payment account, based on a court system's (such as TrueFiling or MiFILE) payment processor configuration, you may be required to specify the state and court in which this payment account will be used. The payment processor used by the specified court will then be linked to that account. As a result, the account can be used only in courts that use that processor.

IMPORTANT:  Your need to select the state and court is based on a court system's configuration.

When you submit your filing bundle to the court, during the checkout process, only payment accounts associated with the processor used by the court you're filing in are available for selection as a payment method.

When you expand a payment account on the Payment Accounts pane of the Settings page, the processor associated with that account is identified.
